Versuri Lizzy Hilliard – grandma's house (interlude) lyrics
Four or five long years ago, I visited my grandma’s house
She left a little present on the guest room pillow
The present was this notebook, and I let it gather dust
Until we holed up in our houses, cause the world was ill
Oh, I felt a lot of feelings, so I wrote them all down
And the pages of the book began to drown
And before I’d really processed what the writing could mean
I had 119
119 songs I couldn’t have foreseen
Now the book’s all full, I don’t know how I filled the pages up
I thought it was impossible, but now it’s finished
I guess when you write every day, your writing doesn’t stay that way
The growth is how the blank spots in the book diminished
The cursive on the cover is what gave it away
When you do what you love, love tends to stay
I’m just grateful I went to Grandma’s house that day
